Have you ever wondered how it was possible for the religious leaders to kill Jesus if Jesus was supposed to be the Son of God? This was a question that surely would have bothered Matthew's readers. For them, the Messiah was supposed to be a king who vanquished his enemies, not be defeated by them. This makes the fact of Jesus' crucifixion a troubling dilemma. So how did Jesus die?
