About This Sermon

One of the most foundational questions that every religion must wrestle with - one of the questions we all struggle with as we seek God - is, "Is the god advanced by this system able to deliver on the promises he makes? Can I place my trust in this god?" Christianity is no different. Jesus makes a certain set of promises to His followers, and yet, the question we must ask - and most especially as we consider His "failures" during Passion Week - is, "Can I really trust Him? Can He really deliver on these promises?" This is a question that John addresses in an exchange that takes place between Jesus and the Jews around the Feast of Dedication in John 10:22-42. Ryan explains why we can trust in Jesus, on the basis of this exchange, in part one of a two-part message entitled “Deliverance Redefined and Defended.”
