Since the very beginning of the church, the gospel has always advanced most powerfully when it has been accompanied by Christian love. It's as Jesus says in John 13:35, "By this all people will know you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." There is a uniqueness to Christian love that isn't always understood, though, and it's this uniqueness that fuels the expression of love in the church and - by extension - the expansion of the gospel.
