The Purpose of Trials (Part 1)

It's been said, "Just about the time we think we're about to make both ends meet, somebody goes and moves the ends." Very often that "someone" appears to be God. Just as we're making our best efforts to obey Him, God sends a trial into our life that disrupts our plans and leaves us asking, "What are you doing, God?" So what is He doing? Why does God sometimes amplify the difficulty of obedience through trials? Ryan addresses this question in the first part of a two-part message from James 1:16-18 entitled, "The Purpose of Trials."
