About This Sermon
In Matthew 19:13-26 Jesus has His encounter with the rich, young ruler. This was a man who desired eternal life - but not at the cost of his earthly riches. After he leaves, Peter turns to Jesus and asks, essentially, "What about us? We have left everything to follow you. So what's in it for us?" Jesus answers Peter, and in His answer He both reassures Peter and corrects his understanding of the nature of eternal rewards. Is the cost of following Christ worth it?
