There are few things as tragic as a broken marriage. A man and a woman agree to join their lives together in a sacred covenant that expresses their tremendous love and dedication for one another, but years later that initial devotion has turned into bitterness and even hatred for either one or both of the spouses, finally prompting one of the parties to file for a divorce. A couple that began as the very best of friends is instead transformed into the very worst of enemies. A relationship that began with hopes of love and happiness instead ends with heartbreak and despair. And yet, though the sorrow of divorce is great, the grace of God is greater still. How can the Christian display the love of God in such a tragic situation? Ryan explains in part one of this two part message from Matthew 5:31-32.
