About This Sermon
Anger is a sin. This is practically common knowledge in out day and age. It is wrong to get angry, and yet, undoubtedly the angriest person is all of Scripture is God Himself. How can this be? In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus explains the sin of anger, and yet, while many interpret Jesus’ words to mean that God is displeased with all expressions of anger, a closer examination of these verses reveals that God does not prohibit every expression of anger. In fact, Jesus even implies that certain expressions of anger are actually right and good. When is anger sinful? When is anger acceptable – even righteous? Ryan explains in the first of four messages from Matthew 5:21-26.
